After fighting off the competition and maintaining a collection above the Rs 1 crore mark, the film's earnings fell to an estimated Rs 55 lakh, sacnilk reports. With this, the film not only scored its lowest collection to date, but also scored its lowest Friday haul.

With Friday's collections, the film's total net earnings have hit an impressive Rs 831.5 crore. 'Dhurandhar' currently has a gross total collection of Rs 997 crore. With the extended weekend ahead, it remains to be seen if the film can put up one final fight and see it's way past the Rs 1,000 crore mark.

However, 50 days down the line, the film seems to have finally met its match in the war film 'Border 2' which hits the big screens on Friday, January 23.

After showing signs of a gradual slowdown at the box office, the film saw a huge dip in numbers in week 7, scoring its lowest collection to date of just around Rs 13.9 crore. With the film beginning a new week at the box office, with just around Rs 50 lakh, it remains to be seen if it can break another record and score the highest earnings of week 8. While the film has currently tied with Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' to land in the top 10 spots, It still has a long way to go to the top. 'Stree 2' currently holds the record with a total of Rs 4.55 crore.

As per the makers, the film's worldwide gross total collections stands at an estimated Rs 1,328.23 crore. In an official post, the makers stated that the film grossed an estimated Rs 1,038 crore from the Indian box office.

'Dhurandhar' vs 'Border 2'

'Dhurandhar' that has been ruling the box office for seven weeks, hit a bump in the road with the release of 'Border 2'. While the spy action film earned just around Rs 55 lakh, 'Border 2' scored a huge Rs 30 crore haul. With this, the film even beat the Ranveer Singh starrer's Day 1 haul of Rs 28 crore.
