Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' which released on Friday after many delays has performed below average at the box office on its first weekend. Emergency Movie Review

The film did see a bit of jump on Saturday and Sunday, but it has further dropped on Monday. 'Emergency' made around Rs 10.35 crore during its first three days at the box office, of which the Sunday collection was highest up to Rs 4.25 crore, according to Sacnilk. However, on Monday, it made only Rs 1 crore at the box office. The word of mouth for the film is good, so even if the film maintains this figure all through the week, it would be beneficial. One hopes that it doesn't see a further drop and come down to lakhs from Tuesday or Wednesday onwards.

There is no major competition at the moment from any other movie as 'Pushpa 2' is now beginning to lose its steam. It collected only Rs 65 lakhs on Monday which was its day 47. Meanwhile, 'Azaad' which released with 'Emergency' has also under performed and has a lesser number than Emergency.

No other big movie is releasing in the next few days till February 7, which can pose as competition, so, Emergency still has a chance to make the most of this and get more numbers through positive word of mouth.
