The film was expected to be severely impacted by the release of two big budget Hindi films - Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, but both were hardly able to put a dent on the success march of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. On Monday Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire dropped by 76 percent to collect Rs 72 lakhs and on Tuesday it added another Rs 27 lakh to its total, thus taking its overall business to Rs 90.14 crore.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has become the 14th highest grossing Hollywood film in India beating the likes of Tom Holland’s Spiderman: Far from Home ( Rs 86.11), The Fate of Furious ( Rs 86.23) and Ms Marvel ( Rs 84.36 crore).

Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire features Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen. Hall, Henry, and Hottle reprise their roles from the previous installment. The storyline sees Kong discovering more of his kind in the Hollow Earth and joining forces with Godzilla to prevent their oppressive leader and a formidable, climate-altering Titan from wreaking havoc on the surface.
