When, on April 10, 2025, Sunny Deol made it to the big screen with ‘Jaat,’ everyone expected it to match the success of his last release, ‘Gadar 2.’ However, those expectations fell flat. Though the movie opened with decent numbers, it didn’t come close to what Sunny Deol’s last drama made. Also, now, as ‘Jaat’ is facing tough competition from the latest releases, both from Bollywood and South, it is turning harder for the Sunny Deol starrer to keep a grip at the box office.

According to the Sacnilk report, the Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda starrer on day 22, which is its third Thursday, was able to mint only Rs 0.2 crores. The total net collection of ‘Jaat’ in India after a 22-day run at the theatre is Rs. 87.04 crores. At this pace, the Rs 100 crore club appears like a distant dream.

‘Jaat’ was earlier competing with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ and Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Ground Zero.’ While the former still posed some threat, the cold box office collection of the latter hardly affected the performance of ‘Jaat.’ However, with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2’ opening with more than Rs.18 crore and the South films ‘HIT 3’ and ‘Retro’ bringing in massive footfall, ‘Jaat’ is loosing its hold over the audience gradually.
