After earning Rs 1 crore on the first day, the film rake in similar business on its first Monday and Tuesday. Currently, ‘Jhund’ has earned a total of Rs 7 crore nett in five days, reports Boxofficeindia.com. Monday collection of ‘Jhund’ was better than Friday and that includes some of the Maharashtra cities which fall in CP Berar circuit. If the film continues to earn well in the state, then ‘Jhund’ may earn a decent standing at the box office.

After calling the shots for a blockbuster like ‘

Sairat

’, Nagraj Manjule marked his directorial debut in Bollywood with ‘Jhund’. Speaking about the film’s box office success, the director had told ETimes, “I never take box office pressure. I cannot stress about box office success before making a movie. I just believe in making a movie with 100 per cent effort, the results will be there. It is true that the responsibility factor is there. But making a movie is all about teamwork, even ‘Sairat’ was a collaborative hit so it is everyone’s effort and everyone’s success. I just put my heart and soul into ‘Sairat’ and the result was delivered by the audience. With ‘Jhund’, the only thing different for me was to work with such a stalwart actor. It was a huge responsibility.”
