Jigra opened with Rs 4.55 crore, followed by Rs 6.55 crore on its second day. Adding to the challenges, Jigra has been embroiled in controversy. Divya Khossla accused the film of copying her May release Savi. Karan Johar, co-producer of Jigra, posted a cryptic message in response to the allegations, stating, "Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools," without naming anyone directly. Divya reacted sharply, accusing both Karan and Alia of ignoring her claims and calling out their “shameless” behavior.

The feud began when viewers noticed similarities between Savi and Jigra. Divya’s film follows a housewife’s mission to free her husband from a high-security prison, inspired by the mythological tale of Savitri and Satyavan. On the other hand, Jigra centers around Alia Bhatt’s character orchestrating a jailbreak to save her brother.
