Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ has been going from strength to strength since its release on January 25. After enjoying a strong weekend, the revenge drama, however, saw a slight dip in numbers on Monday. The film registered collections of Rs 6.04 crore on Day 6, thus taking its total collections to Rs 73.50 crore.
Considering the film was locking horns with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’, many wondered about the fate of the two films. Fortunately, both the movies have have taken the box-office by storm. While the Rakesh Roshan production has just 40 per cent screens in comparison to Shah Rukh’s ‘Raees’, that doesn’t seem to have dampened the film’s figures.
While the Sanjay Gupta-directed drama is raking in the moolah, the makers have another reason to smile. ‘Kaabil’ has also been widely appreciated for its gripping storyline and wonderful performances. Hrithik, in particular, has been applauded for his portrayal of a visually-challenged man.
‘Kaabil’ is a full-fledged revenge drama that narrates the story of Rohan Bhatnagar (Hrithik) and Su (Yami Gautam) who are visually challenged but it doesn’t stop them from living their life to the fullest. However, their world comes crashing down when a tragedy strikes them and Rohan takes it upon himself to seek revenge. Real-life brothers Rohit Roy and Ronit Roy play the antagonists in the film.
