Shreyas Talpade who suffered from a heart attack last year, is back on the big screen with his latest film Kartam Bhugtam with Vijay Raaz in the lead, directed by Soham Shah of Kaal fame. The film has failed to connect with the audience, having first collected Rs 75 lakh over the weekend, and on Monday earning just Rs 12 lakhs, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 87 lakhs.

Shreyas is known for giving competent performances, and will soon complete 20 years in the Hindi film industry. He made his big screen debut as a lead with Nagesh Kukunoor’s Iqbal, and then went on to do films like Om Shanti Om, Dor, Poshter Boyz, Golmaal series and many more.

Shreyas will next be voicing Allu Arjun’s in the Hindi version of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' which is set to release on August 15. Shreyas will also share the screen with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Lara Duta, Disha Patani and Paresh Rawal in 'Welcome to the Jungle,' the third installment of the 'Welcome' series, which is currently being shot on a 10-acre set. Additionally, he also has Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' where he portrays former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Originally slated for a June 14 release, the film has been postponed due to Kangana's involvement in the elections; the film is based on the Emergency imposed by then PM Indira Gandhi in 1975.
