'Kedarnath' box office collection day 18: The Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan starrer collects Rs 70 lakh on Monday

', starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan has garnered much appreciation for its content and the acting by the lead pair. The film marks the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan has been one of the most awaited films of the year. The film which released on 7 December is now running in its third week and has recorded the strongest trend on Monday.



According to the latest report on BoxOfficeIndia.com, on its eighteenth day, the film has managed to collect Rs 70 lakh, which is the strongest trend on Monday of all films running as its collections showed growth of 65-70% from its Friday numbers. The total collection for the third week till now stands at Rs 2.85 crore. In total, the film has till now managed to collect Rs 64.45 crore. The movie is nearing to its collection end at the box office.

The film plot revolves around the love story of a Hindu girl (Sara) and a humble Muslim boy (Sushant). The film is set against the backdrop of the devastating 2013 Uttarakhand floods. The film was embroiled in controversies ranging from accusations of promoting love-jihad.



Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, 'Kedarnath' is produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The songs of the film are composed by Amit Trivedi and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
