Tanuja Chandra of ‘Sangharsh’ fame, ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ is not a love story of living and dying together but is one of a kind. Malayalam actress Parvathy has made her Bollywood debut with this one. She plays Jaya while Irrfan plays Yogi who set out on a short journey to trace past relationships but it unintentionally turns out to be the trip of their lives.
The film traces their journey from the ghats of Rishikesh, sands of Bikaner to Gangtok in the east encapsulating all from trains, buses, ropeway to taxis. How unexpected events from missed trains to simple walks hit the notes of friendships and fights on their path to self-discovery forms the crux of the film. The trailer of the film looks promising with enough substance to evoke the traveller in you with its diverse scenic locations and experiences across India.
