With a collection of $4.75 million in Australia and $6.14 million in Canada, the film has now become the highest-earning Bollywood film to be released overseas. Interestingly, it managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan's January release 'Pathaan', which held the top spot on the list with collections of $4.72 million and $6.05 million in Australia and Canada respectively.

The action-packed drama, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has also set a new benchmark at the global box office, accumulating a staggering Rs 817.36 crore within just 16 days of its release.

Released on December 1 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, 'Animal' has not only garnered attention for its intense narrative but also faced criticism from some social media users for its portrayal of a misogynistic and graphically violent storyline.

Starring a stellar ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Suresh Oberoi, and Prem Chopra, the film has been enjoying an undisputed run at the box office. However, it remains to be seen how the film will fare in the coming weeks, with the releases of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' and Prabhas' 'Salaar'.

The film will also go up against Jason Momoa's superhero film 'Aquaman 2' which hits theatres in time for the extended Christmas weekend.
