‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is enjoying a steady run at the box office. After a strong weekend, the movie is facing no major dips in the week days.
The collection on Tuesday was similar to that of Monday. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ earned Rs 6.75 crore on day five, taking its total to Rs 58 crore nett at the domestic box office. The film has scored big in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata markets, whereas it has received an average reaction in the mass markets of North. The present trend suggests that the film will earn a total of Rs 70 crore nett at the end of its first weekend.
Directed by Karan Johar, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. Speaking about the film’s narrative, set in contrasting backgrounds and cultures, writer Ishita Moitra told PTI, “It is about celebrating your differences, it's a shout-out to inclusivity. There are many reasons why we hate someone or judge others, but it's about rising above those differences, accepting each other, and living with love. We were playing with the same stereotypes.”
