Sidharth Malhotra is in action mode, post the release of Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force where he played the role of cop Kabir Malik, he was next seen in Karan Johar backed Yodha, which saw him in the role of a commando. After multiple postponements, the film finally released on 15th of March and opened to Rs 4 .1 crore collection. Post thies, the film saw a spike on Saturday and Sunday, to collect Rs 5.75 crore and Rs 7 crore respectively, taking the weekend collection to Rs 16.85 crore.
On Monday, the film dropped by almost 70 % to collect just Rs 2.15 crore, but since then, the film has been steady. On Tuesday, it earned Rs 2.25 crore and on Wednesday, it added another Rs 2 crore as per early estimates by Sacnilk, taking the 6 day total of the film to Rs 23.25 crore. The film is currently doing moderately well at the box office as compared to Sidharth’s past releases. Yodha is currently Sidharth's 10th biggest hit, following the likes of Student of the Year, Ek Villain and Kapoor and Sons.
With no big budget film releasing this Friday, Yodha is expected to have one more week in the theaters. The film is currently hoping to collect at least Rs 35 crores before its theatrical run comes to an end. The film also featured Disha Patani, Rashii Khanna and Sunny Hinduja in the lead roles, it was directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha.
