'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' clocked a business of an impressive Rs 59.75 this past weekend. The period film, starring Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles, has been dominating the box office since its release last Friday.

The box office collection for the flick saw a rising graph as the movie's first-day collection of Rs 14.50 crore on Friday was followed by Rs 19.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 25.50 on Sunday. It thus totalled to an impressive Rs 59.75 crore.

These numbers have reportedly crushed Saif’s previous record of the highest first-week collections. ‘Tanjahi’ has beaten out ‘Race 3’ to take the number 1 spot.

According to reports, Saif’s highest first weekend grosser are as follows:

'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' marks Ajay Devgn's 100th film in the Bollywood. The movie that is now getting ready to enter the 100-crore club, is set in the 17th century and is based on the life of Tanaji

It shows Ajay essaying the role of Maratha warrior Taanaji Malusare fighting for the principles 'Bhagwa' (saffron) flag and 'Swaraj' (home-rule) and 'Satya' (truth).

Saif Ali Khan, who plays the antagonist, comes out strong as Uday Bhan, a Rajput official, who works for Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.
The film that is directed by Om Raut, will be Saif’s second 100-crore film after ‘Race 2’.
