' has taken a decent opening at the box-office. According to a report by BoxOfficeIndia.com, the film collected Rs 3.5 crore.

Anupam Kher, who plays Dr Manmohan Singh in The Accidental Prime Minister, has called it his career-best performance. He also refuted allegations that the film favoured the ruling party. "We have made this film with a lot of sincerity and we don't have any political agenda behind the release of the film," he told IANS in an interview.
