The rom-com all Ranbir Kapoor fans have been waiting for is finally here! The film 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' hit theatres on the festive occasion of Holi. According to the early box office estimates, the film is off to a fair start at the ticket windows.

According to reports on boxofficeindia.com, the film that brings together Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor for the first time on the big screen is expected to see higher numbers, thanks to the Holi holiday. As the film is enjoying a festive release, reports state that its collection is expected to grow after 3 pm.

While trade gurus wait eagerly for the final numbers, early reports suggest that the film minted Rs 2.35 crore at the national chains in India by just 10:30 am.

That said, the collections are only expected to get stronger late afternoon and early evening to give the film a good start at the box office. With an extended festive weekend, it remains to see how well the film can perform.

If it does manage to rake in the big bucks, it will be a second consecutive box office win for RK, who was last seen in the smash hit 'Brahmastra' that went on to score over Rs 400 crore at the box office last year.

It will also be the first film after Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' to score a box office win. The Kartik Aaryan starrer 'Shehzada' and the Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi film 'Selfiee' failed to hit the mark at the box office, and crashed out in a week, making way for 'Pathaan' to enjoy an extended run at the ticket windows.

All eyes will be on 'TJMM' to see if the rom-com genre can still put in big numbers at the box office.
