‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ advance booking Day 1: Kartik Aaryan-starrer earns Rs 1.81 crore in ticket sales; heads for single-digit opening amid ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ dominance
Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic comedy ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ appears to be heading towards a single-digit opening at the domestic box office. This comes amid stiff box office competition, limited screen availability and restricted showcasing across major centres.According to a report on Sacnilk, the film has earned an estimated Rs 1.81 crore in advance bookings ahead of its Christmas Day release. So far, the film has sold approximately 47K tickets across 2,713 shows. Including blocked seats, the total advance booking figure is estimated to be around Rs 2.83 crore.Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film has struggled to find space to grow amid Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ box office dominance and James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, which has taken up a significant share of the collections and premium screens nationwide.‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ is not only struggling to get a footing at the ticket windows, but it has also been allotted fewer shows, particularly in key urban markets. Although advance bookings opened recently, early reports indicate that the movie may not break past the Rs 10 crore mark. It is worth noting that while Kartik previously delivered a strong Rs 36 crore opening with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and a Rs 14 crore opening with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, the actor’s box office openings have otherwise typically remained below the Rs 10 crore mark.
Early box office predictions indicated that his latest rom-com will aim for a Rs 9 crore haul. However, if the current trend continues, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ is expected to open in the range of Rs 5 crore net.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
