Varun Dhawan is one of the most earnest actors in the business having one of the smoothest box office runs among the current crop of actors. But the actor seems to be out of luck in recent times especially since his latest big ticket film Baby John failed to connect with the masses. The film has had a journey of its own, a few months ago when a 5 minute special teaser was shown at a Cinema Expo everyone who saw it praised it and were hopeful that the film will set box office standards.

But as the film neared its release, it somehow began to lose steam and despite being released on 25th December which was a national holiday , the film was able to earn only Rs 11.25 crore. And from that point onwards the film has not seen an upward swing. In its extended 9 day first week, it was able to earn just Rs 36.4 crore and over the next 5 days it added less than Rs 3 crore to its kitty. On its 14th day the film earned its lowest amount ever which was Rs 25 lakh as per early estimates by Sacnilk. Thus taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 39.01 crore .

The film continues to be Varun’s lowest grossing film date as even October which was considered to be a box office debacle had made over Rs 41in two weeks at the box office.

Varun might soon want to forget everything about Baby John and concentrate on other upcoming films like Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Janhvi Kapoor, No Entry 2 with Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh and Border 2 with Sunny Deol and Ahan Shetty.
