Did you know Akshay Kumar suggested the idea to remake 'Pati Patni Aur Woh'

' dropped in the trailer and the song 'Dheeme Dheeme' a few days ago which is being well appreciated by the audiences. Also, their dance moves wowed the viewers. The film is the remake of 1978 classic, which featured Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur. Recently, the producer Juno Chopra revealed that the idea of the remake was actually suggested by Akshay Kumar.

During an interview with

, Chopra said, “The idea to remake the film was suggested by Akshay Kumar. He had come home to meet us one day. That’s when he asked us why we were not remaking 'Pati Patni Aur Woh', which was made under our banner.”

On being asked whether Akshay was the first choice for the film? the producer replied, “No, we never thought of him casting in the film. Kartik was our first choice always.”

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Pati Patni Aur Woh is scheduled to release on December 6.
