Dream of becoming a director fulfilled after five years of hard work, says actor turned director Jagat Singh

Jaipur boy Jagat Singh is living his dream of becoming a film director. Jagat, who has showcased his acting skills in films like Lipstick Under My Burkha and Jai Gangaajal, is making his directorial debut with Crispy Rishtey. In town to promote hs film, he shared, "I always dreamt of making my own film after moving to Mumbai at a young age. I wrote Crispy Rishtey and initially planned to make just a 30-minute short film. However, as the project grew, my friend and producer Sagar Srivastava also came on board. Together, we decided to turn this short film into a full-fledged commercial movie."

He has both written and directed the film. He admits that music and Jaipur's vibrant markets are the film's unique selling points. He further adds, "The film was shot at various locations in Jaipur, not only showcasing the city's heritage but also its everyday streets and crossroads. It took almost five years to complete the film, which features senior industry actors like Bijendra Kalra, Ravi Jhankal, Shruti Ulfat, Murali Sharma, Bhupesh Singh, and Payal Wadhwa, along with talented actors from the city. The film weaves a heartwarming family story, highlighting values, love, and dedication." He also shared his gratitude for having playback singer KK’s final recorded songs in the movie, though he is no longer with us. He says, "The soul of any film is its music, and we have worked on each song for months. The film is set to release on Jio Cinema on October 18. Bollywood singers such as Shreya Ghoshal, Mohit Chauhan, Papon, Sabri Brothers, KK, Jubin Nautiyal, Nakash Aziz, Richa Sharma, and Altamash Faridi have made this film special with their voices."
