In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Medha Shankr revealed that she hails from a typical middle-class family who gives strong emphasis to academics. The actress expressed that her desire to become an actor came as a major shock to her father. Medha proposed a two-year window to try her hand at acting, but when nothing significant materialized in that time frame, her father was left wondering about the next steps. Elaborating further, the actress shared that she then requested for additional two years, firmly believing that she was committed to making it big in Mumbai, and she had not provided herself with any alternatives.
While recalling her struggle days during the pandemic, Medha shared that it was particularly arduous and she was completely dependent on her father for financial support and reflected that without him, she might not have survived during that period. When asked about her preference for a Bollywood actor she would manifest working with, she promptly named Ranbir Kapoor.
