Meghna Gulzar's 'Raazi' bagged the top honour at the 64th Vimal Elaichi Filmfare Awards 2019.
The spy-thriller was nominated alongside films like Sriram Raghavan's 'Andhadhun', Amit Sharma's 'Badhaai Ho', Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat', Rajkumar Hirani's 'Sanju', and Amit Kaushik's 'Stree'.

'Raazi' was based on a true account of an Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent who, upon her father's request, was married into a Pakistani family of military officials to relay information to India, prior to the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. On its release, 'Raazi' met with commercial and critical acclaim.
Meghna Gulzar also clinched the Best Director award for the film and Alia Bhatt won the award for Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female).
