Karan’s win brings big celebration
Karan Johar’s colourful romantic drama ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ made a mark at the awards, winning Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Choreography for the energetic track ‘Dhindhora Baje Re’. Kajol, who has known Karan for decades, couldn’t hold back her joy.
Sharing her excitement on Instagram, she wrote, “Wholesome entertainment has your name written all over it! Congratulations.”
SRK wins Best Actor for ‘Jawan’
Shah Rukh Khan bagged a major honour with the Best Actor award for his performance in ‘Jawan’, marking a huge moment in his career, his first-ever National Film Award. Kajol, who has starred opposite SRK in several iconic films, kept her message to the point but powerful, “Congratulations on your big win.”
Rani’s fiery performance ware pure heart
Kajol’s cousin and fellow actress Rani Mukerji also had a shining moment at the awards, winning Best Actress for her emotional role in ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’. Overwhelmed with pride, Kajol wrote, “Your performance was pure fire and heart. Congratulations on the win.”
The ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ team
Kajol, Shah Rukh, Karan and Rani all rose to fame together in the late 1990s, and their biggest breakout together was the 1998 romantic hit ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Directed by Karan Johar, the film starred Shah Rukh Khan as Rahul, Kajol as Anjali, and Rani Mukerji as Tina. It became a classic of its time and continues to hold a special place in Bollywood history.
National Film Awards honours the best
