Aahana Kumra known for her bindass attitude shares that unlike her glamorous persona that she radiates as an actress today, back in her younger days she was quite the opposite. Seen in films like Lipstick Under My Burkha and India Lockdown, the actress mentions that she was a “mawali” in college.

In her tongue-in-cheek andaaz, she shares, “The whole metamorphosis happened thanks to my stylist. Otherwise, when I was young I would wear ganji, bootcut pants and walk around with one chhatri (umbrella) and if a boy tries to talk to me I would give him one whack with it. I was quite a mawali in college.”
This cool and casual attitude about her dressing continues even today. She says, “If I had it my way then I would like to come to the red carpet in shorts and t-shirts. It is because of the business that I am in I have to focus so much on my dressing. I also feel like you got to be and play a certain part in this business. It is a circus!”
While she enjoys being an actor, in her earlier chat with BT, she had mentioned that she’s currently exploring behind-the-camera skills of filmmaking. She had said, “I am going to take some time off as I am writing something. I feel like I want to move towards production too, and that’s my next step into working.”
