Aamir Khan and family issue joint statement responding to Faissal Khan’s 'hurtful and misleading' remarks: 'This is not the first time he has...'
Aamir Khan and his family have reacted to new allegations from his brother Faissal Khan, calling them “hurtful and misleading.” The long-standing tension between the brothers is back in the news after Faissal claimed that Aamir and other family members mistreated him and kept him confined.
In an official statement, the family defended their actions as decisions made out of care and concern for Faissal’s well-being, urging the media to respect their privacy amid ongoing personal disputes.
"We are distressed by Faissal's hurtful and misleading portrayal of his mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, his sister Nikhat Hegde, and his brother Aamir. As this is not the first time he has misrepresented these events, we feel it necessary to clarify our intentions, and reaffirm our solidarity as a family.
It is important to share that every choice regarding Faissal has been taken collectively as a family, in consultation with multiple medical professionals, and has been based on love, compassion, and a desire to support his emotional and psychological wellbeing. For this reason, we have refrained from publicly discussing the details of a painful and difficult period for our family.
We request the media for empathy, and to refrain from turning a private matter into salacious, inflammatory and hurtful gossip.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Faissal alleged that his family labelled him as having schizophrenia, calling him “a mad person” who could be a danger to society. He further claimed that Aamir Khan had once kept him confined in his Mumbai home for over a year.
Faissal recalled feeling trapped during that period, as his family allegedly insisted he had schizophrenia and considered him a danger to society. He described the situation as a “chakravyuh” (maze) in which he felt stuck, claiming the entire family had turned against him and viewed him as mentally unstable.
Faissal Khan said he often prayed for help and wished his father—who, according to him, stayed away from family politics—would come to his aid. However, he claimed he had no way to contact him. Faissal alleged that Aamir confined him to the house for a year, took away his phone, and placed bodyguards outside his room, while also giving him medication. He said he wasn’t allowed to go out, and after a year of such confinement, Aamir finally agreed to let him shift to another house when he insisted.
Aamir Khan and his brother Faissal have had a rocky relationship for years. Tensions grew when Faissal was asked to give up his signatory rights in the family business, prompting him to take the matter to court. He later spent 20 days at JJ Hospital for a mental health evaluation, after which doctors confirmed he was mentally fit. The two brothers had earlier worked together in the 2000 film Mela, alongside Twinkle Khanna and directed by Dharmesh Darshan.
On the work front, Aamir Khan was last seen in comedy family drama 'Sitaare Zameen Par' which was released on June 20."Get the latest updates on Times of India, including reviews of the movie Coolie and War 2."

Whole family is dangerous to society in large. If Doctors at hospital declared him mentally and physically fit, how come Aamir thought he was a mental case? Why did he ask him to give up signatory rights? Mr Perfect turned out to be Mr Sacmster it seems.Read allPost comment
