, had tweeted to Aamir Khan saying that his 1999 movie

Sarfarosh

was the last movie before he lost his leg in the war during Operation Vijay. The Major said he recently watched the film again on TV and it remains intact as earlier.

The former Indian Army officer tweeted, "Exactly 20 years ago I watched movie #Sarfarosh of @aamir_khan and same I did just now. But That time it was in theater. Now on TV. That time on both legs. Now one less. My last movie as intact before I joined unit for #OpVijay in May 1999. #memories."


Reacting to his tweet, Aamir Khan said, "Dear @MajDPSingh, your post gave me goosebumps. We salute your courage, strength and grit in the face of Love and respect to you, Sir. a."


To his sweet gesture, Major DP Singh further tweeted, "My dear @aamir_khan It could become possible as I was trained by @adgpi I am no great.. it's a trait of every #indianarmy #Soldier Thank you for your kind words. Keep making inspirational films. God bless Jai hind."
