Initially set for a December 2024 release, the movie has completed shooting and is now entering post-production. It features a fresh storyline and characters, distinct from its predecessor, 'Taare Zameen Par'.

As reported in Midday, the shooting of 'Sitaare Zameen Par' wrapped on December 15, 2024, with Aamir Khan present for the final patch shoot at Film City. The shoot began at 2 PM and continued into the night, as Aamir aimed to ensure completion that day. The film is now set for post-production, targeting a summer 2025 release.

With the shooting of 'Sitaare Zameen Par' now complete, Aamir Khan and director RS Prasanna will focus on post-production, which involves extensive editing, visual effects, and sound design. The film is set to undergo a meticulous process, including focus-group screenings planned for February 2025, ahead of its summer release.

The makers of 'Sitaare Zameen Par' are now targeting a summer 2025 release following the completion of filming.
