It''s six months past, and the Hindi film industry hasn''t experienced much of the ''cream'' this year (as yet). Out of the release of a good 101 films, just 13 films seem to have crossed the recovery line, while the rest 88 films have spelt ''disaster'' at the BO.
Besides Raaz being termed a ''superhit,'' very few others seem to impress.
Yeh Dil Aashiqana, Aankhen, Company, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, and 16 December have gone a little beyond breaking even and a film that deserves special mention is the dubbed version of the Hollywood flick Spiderman.
At the end of a long six months, we have a handful of films we can be reasonably proud of. However, not all''s lost as yet. With Awaara Pagal Deewana doing well, the half-yearly agenda has indeed ended on a good note, but the future is yet awaited, with seemingly promising ventures like Devdas, Om Jai Jagdish, and Kaante to name a few, hoping that these films don''t experience a shocking knock-out many others did.
