As Parineeti Chopra- Raghav Chadha mark first anniversary, here's a throwback to their adorable wedding video
Actress Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha tied the knot on this day (September 24) last year, in a glittering ceremony in Udaipur. While pics and video of the ceremony went viral, one video that remained special was Parineeti's customised song for Raghav, that played during the wedding. Titled O Piyan, the song, sung melodiously in Parineeti's voice, encapsulates their love story.

Earlier this year, Parineeti appeared on a podcast by Raj Shamani, where she revealed how and when magic happened. She said, “We met at an event in London, and usually, I’d just say hi and move on, but this time, I said, ‘Let’s meet for breakfast’. Including our teams, it was around 8-10 of us, and we met at breakfast the next day. I had no idea who he was an what he did. I literally looked him up after the breakfast. I learned about all the work he’s done, and we realised, not even in weeks, in days, that we would get married.”

She said that she knew she wanted to marry Raghav from the word go. She said, “I swear, I met Raghav, and within five minutes, I knew I was going to marry this man. I didn’t even know if he was married, had children, how old he was… He just sat at breakfast in front of me, and I’m looking at this man and saying, ‘I think I’m going to marry this man’. It was some God’s voice inside me.”

Parineeti also said that though it started off as an arranged meeting, they both knew there is something more. She added, “Of course, feelings developed and all of that happened, and we used to say, ‘What about children, what about family, what are your values?’ Even in that interview phase, it was a given that we would marry each other, we learned about each other later.”
