Abhishek Bachchan shares he would never want to RECREATE movies of his father Amitabh Bachchan: 'There is no point in doing it'
Abhishek Bachchan recently stated that he grew up as a fan of his father, Amitabh Bachchan, whose movies he would watch as often as he could. However, the actor expressed that he would never want to recreate any of them. Here's what Jr Bachchan has to say about remaking Big B's films.
Abhishek went on to share that there was a certain point in his life when he would only watch Amitabh Bachchan's films.
"There was a point in time in my childhood, I only watched my father's films, and afterwards and my friends would go to the backyard and re-enact the entire film—the fight was who was going to play Bachchan. I don't know many people in my generation who didn't grow up idolizing him," he said.
Abhishek further stated that he was not sharing as a son of the megastar but as a fan. He said, "I am not talking as a son; I am talking as a fan. My father, the reason why I consider him to be the greatest and ever was and ever will be—whenever I watch an Amitabh Bachchan film, I am never thinking, 'How would I have done it?'"
The 'Guru' actor added, "Secondly, a bit of arrogance as an artist that I can do it better." He shared that, according to him, no one can do it better than Amitabh Bachchan, and hence, "there is no point doing it."
