UP CM Akhilesh Yadav gets special invite for 'Dedh Ishqiya' premiere

Abhishek Chaubey, the director of the soon-to-release Dedh Ishqiya has invited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister to the premier of the film, which was extensively shot in Lucknow, the state capital.
Dedh Ishqiya, which is the sequel to Chaubey's 2010 hit film Ishqiya stars Madhuri Dixit, Huma Qureshi along with Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi, the lead actors from the previous film, as Khalu and Babban, respectively. Dedh Ishqiyais also Madhuri's comeback film, with her playing a pivotal character in the film.
The film was shot extensively in and around Lucknow and hence the producer of the film Vishal Bhardwaj and the director Abhishek Chaubey thought it fitting to have a premiere of the film in Lucknow and invite the state CM for the premiere as the chief guests. Apparently the CM has also given his consent to be the chief guest for the show as he told us, "Yes, I am going for the premiere of Dedh Ishqiya."
Stars of the film including Madhuri Dixit, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi are expected to be present for the premiere which has been planned for January 9, 2014.
