Bhushan Kumar new project with director
Abhishek Kapoor, especially since it's been titled '
Sharaabi
'. Said to be a comic drama around an alcoholic, speculation is rife if the film is a remake of the
Amitabh Bachchan starrer, which released in 1984. What adds to the talk is the fact that the film is also a musical, just like the Bachchan film. The film's cast is yet to be finalised, but the film's pre production is underway.
Talking about the collaboration, Bhushan reportedly said that Abhishek has over the years become synonymous with well-crafted films and that
T-Series
looks forward to making a wholesome entertainer with this partnership.
Abhishek added that the two have been talking of collaborating for some time and that their film is special as it will have the right concoction of comedy, drama, and music.
The collaboration is not just collaboration between Bhushan and Abhishek, it is also the first partnership with the latter's wife,
Pragya Kapoor's 'Guy In The Sky Pictures', which will be producing the film.
Abhishek's last film 'Kedarnath' saw Sara Ali Khan making her debut in Bollywood.
