In June 2023, 'Adipurush' encountered substantial criticism upon its theatrical release. However, as of today, the film is gaining significant traction on social media, and this time for positive reasons. Notably, this surge in positive attention precedes the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

On Monday morning, several social media users shared videos of Ayodhya and added the Adipurush song ‘Ram Siya Ram’ to them. Sung by Sachet Tandon and Parampara Tandon, netizens praised the song and called it "timeless." Another user shared, “#RamMandir is ready and glorious. The #Adipurush song is as beautiful as the background. These songs will be immortal''. “The music of #AjayAtul for #Adipurush will always be remembered for its perfection; they gave their best,” one of the users wrote.

On June 16, 2023, Adipurush hit theaters, presenting an adaptation of the Hindu mythological epic Ramayana. Despite its source material, the film encountered significant criticism following its release. Audience backlash centered on allegations of distorting the epic, particularly in the film's dialogues and the portrayal of characters like Ravana and Lord Hanuman. Even after the makers modified the controversial 'kapda tere baap ka' dialogue, it failed to quell the discontent. The situation escalated to the extent that a plea was filed in the Supreme Court, aiming to revoke the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certification for the Om Raut-directed film. However, the Supreme Court rejected the plea.

Later in November 2023, Adipurush writer Manoj Muntashir finally admitted at 'The Lallantop' and said that 'Adipurush' is a film that was made with good intentions, but it was wrong, and by accepting this, He will not become small.
