Abhishek Bachchan had tested positive for
Covid-19
and were admitted to a city hospital last evening. And now reports suggest that
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and
daughter Aaradhya
have also tested positive for Coronavirus, while
Jaya Bachchan has tested negative. More details about the same are awaited. Earlier today, BMC santisation workers were at Bachchan’s bungalow
Jalsa
to sanitise the premises.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope had confirmed the same on
Twitter, "Smt.Aishwarya Rai Bacchan & Daughter Aaradhya
Abhishek Bacchan have also been detected positive for Covid19. Smt. Jaya Bachhan ji is tested negative for covid19. We wish the Bacchan Family to get well soon with a speedy recovery."
On Saturday evening,
Amitabh Bachchan had confirmed on Twitter, I have tested COVID-19 positive... shifted to hospital... hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests, results awaited...All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!" Amitabh Bachchan was reportedly said to be stable with mild symptoms and is admitted to the hospital’s isolation unit.
While later Abhishek had also posted, “Earlier today, both my father and I tested positive for COVID-19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.” According to a Times No report, all the four bungalows owned by the Bachchan family - Jalsa, Pratiksha, Janak and Vatsa have been declared as containment zones and sealed by the BMC. Big B’s contact tracing is also taking place and reportedly all the staff working at the bunglaow is being screened for Covid-19.
