Ajay Devgn calls 'Azaad' a special film; Says nephew Aaman feels like a son

The trailer launch for 'Azaad' recently took place, featuring Ajay Devgn, his nephew Aaman Devgan, and Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani. This film marks the debut of both Aaman and Rasha, and Ajay expressed a deep emotional connection to the project, calling it "extremely special" to him. He described Aaman as more than just a nephew, stating that he feels like a son to him.

During the event, Ajay shared about launching two new talents in 'Azaad', praising both Aaman and Rasha for their remarkable performances. He noted that Rasha is the daughter of his colleague and friend, while Aaman has shown great potential in his role. Ajay praised the film’s director, Abhishek Kapoor, for his ability to nurture new stars and successfully guide them through their debut performances.

He said, "Abhishek, who is known to launch new ‘stars’ I would say, not ‘kids’. And he has always been successful with that. He has a lot of patience for new people. I won’t say to tolerate them, but to nurture them. But they have done very well. All of them".

'Azaad' is set against the backdrop of pre-independence India and tells the story of a skilled horse rider played by Ajay Devgn. His character takes the daring adventure after his horse goes missing, with Aaman's character joining him on this journey. Rasha plays a royal character, while actress Diana Penty portrays Ajay's love interest.

The movie also contains heartfelt moments as it explores the bond between humans and animals.

'Azaad' is set to release in theatres on January 17, 2025.
