Ajay Devgn has launched a thrilling trailer of his upcoming release ‘Drishyam 2’, wherein he continues the journey to protect his family. The first part had released in 2015 and was a remake of a Malayalam film by the same name.
However, with the sequel, the makers have promised to twist the tale. Speaking about the remake trend in context to ‘Drishyam 2’, Ajay shared, “The film has been treated in a different manner.
There are a lot of changes, you won't see Akshaye's character in the original. You will feel, this is a fresh film.” Director Abhishek Pathak also assured, "We took 7 months to rewrite the film. We have made a lot of changes and retained the essence." Apart from Ajay, ‘Drishyam 2’ will feature
Akshaye Khanna, Tabu and
Shriya Saran in lead roles. Speaking about reuniting with his ‘Deewangee’ co-star, Ajay shared, “Casting I think Abhishek decided but it is always fun. We share a great rapport also. It is always great to work with a good actor because good actors bring out the best in you also. We needed somebody like. So yes, it's really great!"
‘Drishyam 2’ is scheduled to hit the screens on November 18. At the box office, this film will clash with Anubhav Sinha helmed ‘Bheed’, which features Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles.
