A Promising Start in Bollywood

Akshita Garud made a memorable Bollywood debut in Dil Kya Kare (1999), where she played Neha Kishore, the daughter of Ajay Devgn and Kajol’s characters. Her adorable screen presence and emotional depth left a lasting impression. She later appeared in Marshal (2002) alongside Mithun Chakraborty, showcasing her acting skills at a young age.

A Brief But Impactful Television Career

After her stint in films, Akshita transitioned to television and played Roshni Mehra in Kumkum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan (2003). Her performance was well received, but unlike many child actors who pursued long-term careers in TV, she soon disappeared from the entertainment industry, opting for a different professional journey.

3/6

Choosing a Corporate Career Over Bollywood

Unlike other child actors who struggled to make a mark in films after growing up, Akshita stepped away from showbiz and entered the corporate world. She moved abroad and established herself in the marketing industry, working with top global brands like Reebok and Adidas as an accessories associate branch manager.

A Glamorous Life Beyond the Limelight

Although she left the film industry, Akshita’s love for fashion and creativity remained. According to her Instagram bio, she is now a visual and art director. Her social media presence reflects her impeccable style, luxurious lifestyle, and passion for fashion, proving that she has successfully carved out a niche for herself outside Bollywood.

5/6

The Unfulfilled Potential of Dil Kya Kare

Akshita’s most notable film, Dil Kya Kare, was appreciated for its bold themes and emotional depth. The film revolved around Neha, an adopted child whose biological mother unexpectedly re-enters her life, leading to a dramatic turn of events. Despite critical acclaim, the film underperformed at the box office, preventing it from becoming a game-changer in Akshita’s career.

6/6

Following the Trend of Child Stars Taking a Different Route

Akshita joins the list of Bollywood child stars like Sana Saeed (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) and Ahsaas Channa (Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna), who found limited success in films as adults. However, while some continued struggling in the industry, Akshita made a bold move, redefining her career and embracing a successful life beyond Bollywood.
