Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna celebrate son Aarav Bhatia’s 22nd birthday with heartfelt posts: 'Words can’t do justice...'

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s son Aarav Kumar is celebrating his 22nd birthday today. To mark the special occasion, The doting parents took to their Instagram in separate posts, and sent their best wishes to Aarav on his special day.

Akshay shared a bright and joyful photo from a family vacation. The sunlit picture, taken during a safari trip, features Akshay, his wife Twinkle Khanna, and their son Aarav enjoying the outdoor setting. Along with the photo, Akshay wrote a heartfelt message for Aarav, expressing how proud he is of his son’s growth into a kind and loving person.

In his Instagram post, Akshay wrote, “Happy Birthday Aarav! Watching you grow into the kind and loving person you are fills my heart with pride every single day. Words can’t do justice to how much joy you bring into my life. May this year bring you as much happiness as you give to everyone around you. Love you always ❤️.”



Twinkle Khanna, being a writer, was more elaborate in her post as she shared how despite leaving home for studies, Aarav still lives in their hearts, diametrically opposite to what she thought would happen once he goes abroad.

She wrote, “Happy birthday Aarav. When I used to listen to you repeatedly tell me how much you were looking forward to your independence, I would feel that when you finally leave my home and step into your own, my lights will go off automatically and my world will be filled with a bleak darkness. When you would return for a visit, I would light numerous diyas and pretend that this was not a permanent power failure; we were just celebrating Diwali. But I didn’t realise then that someone who lives in your heart never leaves even when they change their longitude. My world lights up with every phone call, every message, even if it’s about dirty laundry.”



Despite being the son of a famous Bollywood star, Aarav prefers to stay out of the limelight and has no interest in acting. Akshay revealed in an interview that Aarav is passionate about fashion design. Although Akshay hoped his son might follow in his footsteps, Aarav is focused on his own career.




Akshay had once shared that like him, Aarav also left his home at quite a tender age, and is studying at a university in London. Akshay and Twinkle have two children: Aarav, born in 2002, and Nitara, born in 2012.



On the work front, Akshay is preparing for the release of Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film Singham Again, which is set to release during Diwali 2024. The film features a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor. Akshay also announced a new collaboration with director Priyadarshan for a horror-comedy titled Bhooth Bangla, scheduled for release in 2025.
