Akshay Kumar recently made a notable visit to Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai, a significant landmark for many. During his visit, the actor generously contributed Rs 1.21 crore to support the renovation work at the Dargah.

Mohammad Ahmed Taher, Administrative officer of Haji Ali Trust, said in a statement, "With the Haji Ali Dargah's renovation underway, Akshay Kumar, a true Mumbaikar, was the quickest to respond with great warmth and devotion.

On Thursday, he generously took responsibility for a section of the renovation expenses, amounting to Rs 1,21,00,000. He was warmly received by Mr Suhail Khandwani, Managing Trustee of Haji Ali Dargah Trust and Mahim Dargah Trust along with his team. We offer our prayers for the departed souls of his parents, Late Aruna Bhatia and Late Hari Om Bhatia, and express our deepest gratitude to him. Prayer for our country's prosperity and may peace and harmony prevail".

Akshay was previously seen serving food to people on the streets of Mumbai. A video of him distributing meals outside his Mumbai house has been widely circulated on social media.

Akshay Kumar is looking forward to the release of his third film, 'Khel Khel Mein'. His previous movies, 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Sarfira', didn’t do well at the box office. 'Khel Khel Mein' is set to release on Independence Day and stars Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, and Fardeen Khan.

'Khel Khel Mein' is set to compete with 'Stree 2' and 'Vedaa' at the box office on August 15.
