Akshay Kumar flags off a car and bike rally for police personnel ahead of Independence Day

Ahead of Independence Day, Akshay Kumar flagged off a 10 km race for the police personnel in Mumbai along with Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. The rally comprising 100 four-wheelers and 60 bikes was organised at Marive Drive to mark 75th year of India’s Independence. Reportedly, about 3500 police personnel participated in the race organised by the state government.

Earlier, Akshay Kumar and several other celebrities like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Jeetendra, Kangana Ranaut, Govinda, Dharmendra, Anil Kapoor, Sunny Deol participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav encouraging Indians to bring the Tiranga home.
As India gears up to celebrate its 75 years of Independence tomorrow, PM Narendra Modi's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is being observed across the country. The government has urged people to hoist or display the tricolour in their homes during this period.
