The 'Khiladi' actor penned an emotional note as Norris passed away at the age of 86. His family confirmed the actor's demise in a statement. Following that, Akshay took to social media and wrote, "Growing up as a martial artist, watching Chuck Norris in Way of the Dragon, Missing in Action and many more wasn’t just entertainment…it was education. The discipline, strength, and that effortless command he brought on screen stayed with me. Grateful for the inspiration that shaped a part of me. "
Meanwhile, in an official statement, Norris' family wrote, "It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace. We know many of you had heard about his recent hospitalisation, and we are truly grateful for the prayers and support you sent his way."
