Akshay Kumar sells two of his properties in Mumbai at a whopping ₹7.10 crore, earns 91 percent profit: Report

Akshay Kumar is known for his movies but he’s also one of the richest actors and has been the highest tax payer as well, several times. The actor also has many ways to invest his money and real-estate is one of them. He’s recently sold two of his plush apartments in Mumbai’s Borivali and made an incredible 91% profit in the process.

According to a report by Square Yards, Akshay sold two adjoining flats located in a ready-to-move-in residential project by Oberoi Realty. The complex spans around 25 acres and offers 3BHKs, 3BHK+studios, and duplexes.

The ‘Khiladi’ actor had purchased these apartments back in 2017. One of them, measuring 1,101 sq. ft. with two parking spaces, was bought for ₹3.02 crore and has now been sold for ₹5.75 crore. For this sale, the stamp duty alone cost him ₹34.50 lakh and registration charges were ₹30,000.

The second apartment, much smaller at 252 sq. ft. of carpet area, was initially bought for ₹67.90 lakh. It was sold for ₹1.35 crore, with a stamp duty of ₹6.75 lakh and the same ₹30,000 in registration charges.

All in all, Akshay made a tidy ₹7.10 crore from the sale of both properties, earning him nearly double his investment in just 8 years. On work front, Akshay is keeping just as busy. He’ll soon be seen in ‘Bhooth Bangla’, directed by Priyadarshan and co-starring Wamiqa Gabbi and Paresh Rawal. Fans also have something big to look forward to with ‘Hera Pheri 3’, which is finally happening after a long delay. Akshay has confirmed recently that things are back on track now and the film is happening. Akshay also dismissed rumours of this whole thing being a publicity stunt. He told Hindustan Times, "Nahi, yeh publicity stunt nahi hai (No this isn't a publicity stunt). The things went legal, so when legal things are involved, we cannot call it a publicity stunt; it is a real thing.” He further added, “But ab sab kuch thik ho gaya hai. Very soon, some kind of announcement can come. Yes, there were some ups and downs. But now everything is solved, and we are back together, and we have always been together. Yes, that's it!"

Fans are breathing a sigh of relief as things are sorted between Paresh Rawal and the whole team and he’s back to his iconic character Baburao. Apart from this, Akshay has ‘Jolly LLB 3’ lined up. He will be reuniting with Saif Ali Khan for Haiwaan, that brings the duo back together 17 years after ‘Tashan’.
