On Tuesday, Maddock Films revealed a striking poster of Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb in Chhaava via X (formerly Twitter). The intense image shows him fiercely staring down enemies, with his hair trailing across his face. Another poster features the actor wearing the Mughal crown, embodying the ruthless ruler.

The post was captioned, “Darr aur dehshat ka naya chehra (The new face of fear and terror) - Presenting #AkshayeKhanna as Mughal Shahenshah Aurangzeb, the ruthless ruler of the Mughal Empire! #ChhaavaTrailer out tomorrow. Releasing in cinemas on 14th February 2025.”

Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, is a historical drama that stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai, and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb. Set in 1681, it tells the tale of a courageous warrior’s coronation and the start of his legendary reign.

Chhaava, adapted from Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel, will release its trailer on Wednesday. Set to hit theatres on February 14, 2025, the film showcases the legendary tale of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s coronation and reign, starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna.
