Alaya F reveals her mom Pooja Bedi, attended her dad's second wedding
Alaya F., daughter of popular '90s actress Pooja Bedi and businessman Farhan Furniturewala, discussed her parents' divorce. The actress mentioned that the separation didn't register much with her until she matured. She also shared that her mother maintains a friendship with her father's second wife, showing the friendly atmosphere within their extended family. Additionally, she emphasized her close relationship with her stepbrother, highlighting the strong bonds formed despite the changes in their family structure.
Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Alaya said that her parents were going their separate ways, but she would see them all the time; they were very friendly with each other also. To this day, they are great friends. Her mother attended her father’s second marriage. The actress is extremely close to her stepmother. Her half-brother, whom she even hates calling half-brother because he is her brother; they have the same dad and different mothers, is like a piece of her heart—her child. So she can’t imagine a life where her parents had stayed together.
Alaya added that, in her head, divorce was never really a bad thing because her parents handled their divorce so beautifully. When her other friend was going through something similar, she didn’t think it was a big deal. She was like, ‘Yeah, it will be good for you; it will be great for your family’, because that’s generally how she thought about divorce. Alaya noted that her parents always maintained respect for each other and welcomed new individuals into their lives without any animosity. She revealed that her mother and stepmother are also very good friends.
Pooja Bedi and Farhan Furniturewala tied the knot in 1994 but parted ways in 2003. Pooja has been engaged by Maneck Contractor since 2019.
