twitter asking his help to win over his lady love. Though surprised at first, the actor shot a video and sent it to the girl on
social media
requesting her to accept Shabbir's proposal.
'It is really amazing the kind of things internet can do. I got one random message from Shabbir which I saw and I realised he reached out to me sincerely for my help,' the actor said in a statement, according to a report in Indian Express.
Quite happy with the fact that social media helped him become a

, Ali said, 'He (Shabbir) wanted to propose to his childhood friend and I certainly wanted to do something to help. I'm happy it all worked out.'
