Alia Bhatt was unrecognisable on the sets of Udta Punjab

At the second song launch of the film Udta Punjab, Alia Bhatt revealed an interesting anecdote about the film. When asked about her rustic look in the film and the feedback she got about it, the actresses said she didnt have to wait too long. She said, "Usually when actors come on sets, the unit and the assistant directors run helter skelter, readying the shot. But when I came on sets after costume and make up, no one noticed me.


They were all just chilling and one assistant director even screamed at me." She then approached director Abhishek Chaubey and told him I'm ready and even he was quite surprised.

In the song titled 'Ikk Kudi' which is a slow and soulful ballad, Alia is seen playing hockey and even scoring as the song progresses. She said she had to learn to play hockey for the sequence. While the song is sung by Diljeet Dosanj in the film, Alia crooned a few lines from it to a great response from the press.
