In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha shared her experiences from the sets of Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. She recalled filming in New Zealand, where the temperature dropped to -15°C. During the shoot, she was eager to try skydiving, but Rakesh Roshan was hesitant, concerned about safety. Even Hrithik Roshan was surprised by her adventurous spirit, as she would often jump into the water during shots.
Ameesha continued sharing her adventurous experiences, recalling how she convinced Hrithik Roshan to go rafting with her in the rough waters of New Zealand. Knowing she wouldn’t be allowed alone, she persuaded him to join despite his hesitation. The experience turned out to be thrilling and dangerous, with them screaming and laughing as they navigated through mountainous waters. Though their smiling picture captured a fun moment, she admitted they were actually terrified.
Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000) was Ameesha Patel’s debut film and a massive hit that catapulted her to fame. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, it introduced Hrithik Roshan in a dual role. Ameesha’s portrayal of Sonia, a young woman coping with love and loss, was widely appreciated. The film’s success, emotional storyline, and memorable music made it an iconic Bollywood romance.
