Amitabh Bachchan reflects on 51 years in Bollywood as ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ readies for digital release, “Honoured to be a part of yet another challenge”

Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is one of the first Bollywood big ticket film to heading for a digital release amidst the pandemic. Tagging it as a challenge Amitabh Bachchan shared a thoughtful post on social media, “Joined Film Industry in 1969 .. now in 2020 it’s .. 51 years ..!! During this formidable period seen many changes and challenges .. NOW another challenge .. DIGITAL RELEASE of my film ..GULABO SITABO !! Honoured to be a part of yet another challenge !!”

’ actor Ayushmann and ‘Piku’ star Amitabh Bachchan. Speaking about the film Ayushmann had told PTI, “Gulabo Sitabo is an extremely simple film. It's a sweet film about the banter between a landlord and a tenant. I'm the tenant, Bachchan sir is the landlord and we are always at loggerheads. It's as simple as that." ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ was reportedly scheduled to hit the screens in April this year.

Rumours are rife that other Bollywood biggies like Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘Ludo’ and Karan Johar backed Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ may also take the digital route amidst this health scare when theatres are far from opening.
