Amitabh Bachchan trolls Pakistan after India’s Asia Cup win with 'well played Abhishek Bachchan' jibe: 'Bolti band, Jai Hind'

The Dubai night belonged to Tilak Varma, who stayed unbeaten on 69 to script India’s five-wicket win over Pakistan, sealing a record-extending ninth Asia Cup title. But the victory celebrations spilled over to social media, where Amitabh Bachchan added his own punch by trolling Pakistan while cheekily looping in son Abhishek Bachchan.

“T 5516(i) - जीत गये !! �������� .. well played 'Abhishek Bachchan' .. उधर ज़बान लड़खड़ाई, और इधर, बिना batting bowling fielding किए, लड़खड़ा दिया दुश्मन को !! बोलती बंद !! जय हिन्द! जय भारत! जय माँ दुर्गा !!!!” the megastar tweeted soon after India’s win, leaving fans in splits.

Shoaib Akhtar’s slip sparks wave of jokes

The tweet was a clear throwback to a viral gaffe from Pakistan’s former speedster Shoaib Akhtar, who, during a sports show ahead of the final, accidentally referred to “Abhishek Bachchan” instead of Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma while discussing strategies.

“If Pakistan manage to get Abhishek Bachchan out in a hypothetical situation, what happens to India’s middle order?” Akhtar said, before being corrected by the host.

The slip instantly set social media alight, and Abhishek Bachchan himself joined the banter. Quoting the clip, he wrote: “Sir, with all due respect... don’t think they’ll even manage that! And I’m not even good at playing cricket.”

By referencing Abhishek’s witty response while celebrating India’s Asia Cup triumph, Amitabh Bachchan managed to both revel in India’s win and continue the playful trolling that had already gone viral. Fans flooded his timeline with laughing emojis and patriotic cheers.
