Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding reception: AR Rahman leaves the guests spellbound with his electrifying ‘Muqabla’ song

The Ambani family has hosted a reception following the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, and the guests are arriving. The big fat Indian wedding had already become the talk of the town, and the reception too is nothing short of an extravagant celebration. Oscar winner AR Rhaman performed his most celebrated song ‘Muqabla’ leaving the guests spellbound.

The Anant-Radhika wedding, which is one of the most extravagant events of the year, drew a host of celebrities, dignitaries, and prominent figures from politics, business, and cinema. AR Rahman's presence and performance elevated the celebrations to another level. ‘Hum Se Hai Muqabla’ is among the hits from the 1990s that accelerated the musician’s career.

It is worth mentioning that Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam, Hariharan, and Kaushiki Chakraborty performed at the Shubh Aashirwad, held on Saturday, July 13.

On the first day of the wedding festivities Rema landed in Mumbai and performed his sensational ‘Calm Down’ and reportedly charged Rs 25 crore for the song.


Anant Ambani, the youngest son of billionaire tycoon Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, tied the knot in a spectacular wedding ceremony in Mumbai on Friday, July 12, in the attendance of the who’s who of world politics, arts and entertainment, and business. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also graced the wedding festivities on Saturday, July 13, and blessed the newlyweds. Other political bigwigs who attended the wedding festivities are former President Ram Nath Kovind, Andhra Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, Union Minister Chirag Paswan, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, and Congress leader Sachin Pilot attended the event. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, and deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.

Among the celebrities who arrived for the Ambani wedding are American TV personalities Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe, John Cena, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Vicky Kaushal, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Rajinikanth, Mahesh Babu, Suriya, and Yash, among others.
